Strawberry Shortcake Junk Journal — The Finished Piece

Remember the Strawberry Shortcake junk journal I shared a few weeks ago? It's done! This luxury handmade art journal is fully finished — signatures sewn in, pages decorated, charms added. A one-of-a-kind, coquette-inspired piece. Here's the full reveal.
The Covers
The front cover has the sweetest Strawberry Shortcake image framed by pink and red gingham, white lace, and pom pom trim. I added a little Strawberry Shortcake charm hanging from a gold chain on the side.
The back cover has the same gingham and lace treatment with another Strawberry Shortcake character in the centre.
The Spine and Charms
The spine is one of my favourite parts — it's loaded with dangling charms, ribbons, and a green braided tassel. It gives the whole journal so much personality.
The Pages
This journal is chunky! Every page has layers of lace, fabric, and trim along the edges. You can see how thick it is when you look at it from the side.
Inside Spreads
The inside pages are filled with strawberry prints, vintage Strawberry Shortcake illustrations, gingham pockets, heart-shaped embellishments, and lace layering throughout.
Final Thoughts
This was a custom order and I'm so proud of how it turned out. Every single page has something special — a little pocket, a layered embellishment, a sweet print. It's one of the chunkiest journals I've made and definitely one of my favourites.
There's something about holding this journal — the soft fabric, the ruffles, the Strawberry Shortcake characters — that takes you back in time to connect with your younger self. That's exactly the feeling I wanted to capture. 🍓
