Collection Spotlight: Floral Crown Portraits

The Floral Crown Portraits collection is one of my favorite series to work on, and today I want to share a bit about what makes it special.

The Concept

These are mixed media collage pieces — hand-cut and hand-assembled on standard ACEO cards. The flowers aren't just decorations placed on top — they're woven into the composition, framing faces and blending into the figure. Each piece is built with layers of texture, color, and carefully chosen elements.

Each portrait in this collection has its own character. The flowers tell a story — different blooms, different moods, different color palettes.

What to Look For

When you look at these pieces up close, notice:

• The layering — multiple elements are assembled to create depth and dimension
• The color harmony — each portrait's elements are chosen to complement the overall palette
• The mood — some feel soft and romantic, others are bold and lush
